The TITAN USA CD47606 is a letter-size H jobber-length drill bit ground from high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. It measures 0.257 inches in diameter with a 4.125-inch overall length and a 2.875-inch spiral flute. The 118-degree standard point angle is suited for general-purpose drilling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks. This bit is a right-hand cutting, two-flute design in the CD47 series and is sold as a single unit for bench-top or portable drill press applications by machinists, tool-and-die techs, and maintenance tradespeople.
The CD47606 is intended for drilling non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys in light manufacturing, maintenance, and repair environments. The regular-spiral, two-flute geometry provides efficient chip evacuation in softer materials. The 11xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 2.875 inches make this bit appropriate for through-holes and blind holes within that depth range. Coolant-through capability is not included, so surface lubrication or cutting fluid is recommended when drilling at higher RPMs.
Designed for use in standard drill presses, CNC drilling machines, and hand-held power drills accepting a straight-cylindrical shank. Appropriate for drilling non-ferrous metals and similar workpiece materials where a letter H size hole is specified.
Install and remove this bit with the drill or drill press fully powered down and the chuck key removed from the chuck. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck with even tightening across all chuck jaws to prevent runout. Apply cutting fluid or a suitable lubricant to the cutting surface when drilling metal at sustained feed rates. Inspect the cutting edges and TiN coating before each use and replace the bit if edge chipping or coating wear is observed.
