The TITAN USA CD47528 is a TiN-coated high speed steel jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in non-ferrous metals and general-purpose materials. The 29/64 inch (0.4375 inch) diameter bit features a 118-degree standard point angle and a regular spiral flute configuration, delivering clean entry and efficient chip evacuation. The titanium nitride (TiN) coating extends surface hardness and reduces friction, improving tool life in production and maintenance drilling applications. It is used by machinists, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and general trades who require consistent, repeatable drill performance.
The CD47528 belongs to TITAN USA Series CD47 and is suited for drilling non-ferrous metals including aluminum, copper, and brass in both shop and field environments. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard 3-jaw chucks across a wide range of drill presses, hand drills, and magnetic-base drills. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 9xD and a maximum drilling depth of 4-1/16 inches, this bit handles typical jobber-length hole depths without extension tooling. It is sold and packaged individually, making it straightforward to stock as a direct replacement in a working drill index.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill bit replacement for use in any standard 3-jaw chuck accepting a 7/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (code N), though it is suitable for general drilling in comparable materials consistent with high speed steel tooling.
Install into a properly sized 3-jaw chuck and tighten securely before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before drilling. For best results, select the appropriate spindle speed for the workpiece material and diameter per standard machining reference tables. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace when diameter tolerance or surface finish degrades.
