The TITAN USA CD47520 is a TiN-coated high speed steel jobber drill bit designed for precise, clean-entry drilling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. Ground to a 118-degree standard point, it delivers consistent starts without excessive walking. The spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation along the 3-3/16-inch flute length. At 4-1/2 inches overall length with a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 5/16 inch in diameter, the CD47520 fits standard drill chucks and milling setups without adapters. Weighing just 0.07 pounds, it is easy to handle across extended production runs or field service tasks. This bit is part of the TITAN USA Series CD47 line, built for right-hand cutting rotation.
The CD47520 is suited for production shops, maintenance facilities, and field technicians drilling non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys. Its TiN coating extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. The 5/16-inch diameter and jobber-length configuration make it a common selection for general-purpose drilling where a stub drill is too short and a taper-length drill is unnecessary. It is sold individually, making it practical as a direct replacement for a worn or broken bit.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill for use in standard drill presses, hand drills, and CNC drilling operations on non-ferrous metal workpieces. Compatible with any machine or hand tool accepting a 5/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Install and remove drill bits only after the machine spindle has come to a complete stop and power has been isolated at the switch or disconnect. Secure the straight shank firmly in a properly sized chuck and verify runout before drilling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling non-ferrous metals to maintain coating integrity and prolong tool life. Worn or chipped bits should be replaced rather than reground unless proper grinding equipment and technique are available.
