The TITAN USA CD44029 is a 29/64-inch high speed steel jobber-length drill bit designed for production and maintenance drilling in metal fabrication, machining, and general trade work. It features a 135-degree split point that self-centers on contact, reducing walking and the need for a center punch on most surfaces. The black oxide coating provides mild lubricity and corrosion resistance during cutting. With an overall length of 5.625 inches and a 4.1875-inch flute length, this bit delivers deep-reach capability in a standard jobber format. Machinists, millwrights, pipefitters, and general maintenance technicians are the primary users of this type of bit.
The CD44029 is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. It is a practical choice for drill press, hand drill, and mill spindle applications where a straight-cylindrical shank is required. The regular spiral flute geometry supports chip evacuation in through-hole and moderate-depth drilling operations. This bit is sold individually and is a direct off-the-shelf replacement for worn or broken bits in the 29/64-inch size range across shop and field environments.
Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S). Fits any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.4531-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the TITAN USA Series CD44 jobber drill line.
Installation of this drill bit is performed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals using a keyed or keyless drill chuck on a drill press, hand drill, or milling machine. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck is tightened before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling stainless steel, cast iron, or superalloys to extend tool life. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the bit if the point geometry is compromised.
