The TITAN USA CD44007 is a 7/64 inch diameter jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal and other industrial materials. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a black oxide coating, the bit resists heat buildup and surface corrosion during extended use. The 135-degree split point geometry self-centers on contact, reducing the need for a center punch and minimizing walking on hard or smooth surfaces. With a 2-5/8 inch overall length and a 1-1/2 inch flute length, this bit fits standard drill chucks and is sized for repetitive production drilling or single-task maintenance work. It is a staple in any trade kit where accurate small-diameter holes are required.
The CD44007 is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. It is commonly used in HVAC fabrication, plumbing rough-in, electrical panel work, and general metal fabrication where precise 7/64 inch holes are needed. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard keyless or keyed chucks. The regular spiral flute promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat and keeping the cut clean across a variety of workpiece materials.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit for use in any keyed or keyless drill chuck accepting a 7/64 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys and titanium per Series CD44 application ratings.
Install in a drill press or hand drill with a properly rated chuck; confirm the shank is fully seated and the chuck is tightened before beginning a cut. Always wear appropriate eye protection when drilling metal. For best results in hard materials, use cutting fluid to reduce heat and extend bit life. Replace the bit if the cutting edges show visible wear, chipping, or if the bit produces excessive heat or squealing during normal feed rates.
