The TITAN USA CD42125 is a 3/64 inch (0.0492 inch decimal) high speed steel jobber drill bit with a black oxide coating and a 118-degree standard point angle. It is designed for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of metallic and non-ferrous materials. The black oxide finish reduces friction and provides mild corrosion resistance during storage and use. With an overall length of 1.8912 inches and a 2-flute regular spiral design, this bit delivers consistent chip evacuation and stable cutting geometry. It is sold individually and is suited for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and fabricators who need a reliable small-diameter drill for precision work.
This bit is well suited for drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adaptation. Its compact size makes it practical for tight-clearance work and layout drilling on sheet metal, structural components, and fabricated assemblies. The 18xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to 0.8668 inches, making it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole applications in light to medium stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use jobber drill bit compatible with any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.0492 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S).
Install in a standard drill press, hand drill, or CNC spindle with a chuck rated for the shank diameter. Secure the shank fully in the chuck jaws before beginning any drilling operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, or titanium to manage heat buildup and extend tool life. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use, as small-diameter bits are susceptible to breakage if run at incorrect feed rates or with excessive side load.
