The TITAN USA CD40619 is a 9/32 inch (0.2969 inch decimal) high speed steel jobber drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. It features a standard 118-degree point angle and a regular spiral flute geometry, providing consistent chip evacuation and clean entry in production and maintenance drilling applications. The bright, uncoated finish is suited for use with non-ferrous workpiece materials where coatings are not required. With an overall length of 4-3/8 inches and a flute length of 3-1/16 inches, this bit handles typical jobber-length drilling tasks. Licensed contractors, machinists, and field technicians routinely stock this size for general metalworking and mechanical assembly work.
The CD40619 is appropriate for use in drill presses, hand drills, and portable electric drills where a straight-cylindrical shank bit is required. Its 19/64 inch shank diameter matches the drill bit diameter, making it compatible with standard chuck configurations. The 2-flute spiral design and right-hand cutting direction suit straight-through drilling in sheet stock, structural non-ferrous metal, and light fabrication work. Maximum drilling depth reaches 3-1/16 inches, consistent with the flute length. This bit belongs to the CD40 series and is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal; coolant-through setups are not supported with this bit.
Install the bit securely in a properly rated drill chuck before operation, ensuring the shank is fully seated and the chuck is tightened with the key at all three positions. Secure the workpiece in a vise or clamp before drilling — never hold non-ferrous stock by hand against a drill press. Use appropriate cutting fluid for aluminum or copper alloys to extend tool life. Follow shop safety standards and applicable OSHA requirements when operating rotary cutting tools.
