The TITAN USA CD32527 is a cobalt screw machine length drill bit built for heavy-duty metal drilling applications. With a 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch decimal) diameter and a 135-degree split point, this bit cuts aggressively into hard and abrasive materials while reducing walking at startup. The spiral flute design clears chips efficiently throughout the cut. At 3-3/8 inches overall length, it is purpose-built for screw machine and close-quarter drilling where a standard jobber-length bit is too long. Suitable for use in CNC machines, drill presses, and manual drilling equipment. Licensed trade professionals and machinists rely on this series for production and maintenance work.
This bit is designed for drilling ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-strength alloys, and other tough materials where standard high-speed steel bits wear prematurely. The cobalt construction provides elevated heat resistance, making it a reliable choice in applications with continuous cutting cycles or limited coolant availability. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit. Its straight cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks without modification, allowing drop-in use across a wide range of machine spindles and hand drills.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production-grade screw machine drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and screw machine spindles accepting straight cylindrical shanks in the 0.4000 to 0.4500 inch diameter range, per Series 325.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the drill press, lathe, or hand drill is fully powered down and secured before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck. Inspect the bit for cracks or wear before each use. Follow applicable OSHA and shop safety standards for eye protection, speed selection, and workpiece clamping.
