The TINGLEY O44041.MD is a pair of arc flash-rated bib overalls constructed from 0.38mm PVC-coated Nomex fabric weighing 10.5 oz per square yard. Designed to protect electricians and utility workers from arc flash hazards, these overalls carry an arc rating of 14 cal/sq cm, meeting the threshold for arc flash PPE Category 2 work. The Therm-O-Rad sealed seam construction eliminates stitch-hole penetration points along the seam lines, maintaining the integrity of the protective barrier. This garment is sized Medium with a 29-inch inseam and fits a 36 to 38-inch waist. Installation and donning are handled by the wearer or a safety supervisor before energized electrical work begins.
These bib overalls are intended for use in industrial, utility, and commercial electrical environments where arc flash exposure is a documented hazard. The Nomex base material provides inherent flame resistance, and the PVC outer layer adds resistance to acids, alcohols, oils, salts, alkalies, and moisture, making this garment suitable for environments that combine arc flash risk with chemical splash or wet conditions. The plain front fly and hook-and-loop ankle closures allow for a secure, adjustable fit over work clothing or thermal underlayers as required by the job hazard analysis.
Designed as an arc flash PPE garment for use by qualified electricians and utility personnel working on or near energized equipment requiring protection rated at 14 cal/sq cm or less. Sized Medium with a 36 to 38-inch waist and 29-inch inseam.
Arc flash PPE must be selected and donned in accordance with a site-specific arc flash hazard analysis per NFPA 70E requirements before approaching energized electrical equipment. Inspect the garment for tears, compromised seams, or contamination before each use, and remove from service if damage is found. Launder and maintain the garment per the manufacturer care instructions to preserve the arc rating. This garment should be worn as part of a complete arc flash PPE ensemble that includes a face shield or arc-rated hood, gloves, and footwear rated for the incident energy level.
