The TINGLEY O44041.5X is a Nomex arc flash bib overall designed for electricians and utility workers who require reliable arc flash protection in hazardous work environments. Constructed from 0.38mm PVC-coated Nomex fabric weighing 10.5 oz, it carries an arc rating of 14 cal/sq cm, making it suitable for NFPA 70E Category 2 arc flash hazard environments. Therm-O-Rad sealed seams prevent liquid and contaminant penetration throughout the garment. The plain front fly and button closure provide a clean, professional fit, while hook-and-loop ankle cuffs allow a secure tuck over work boots. This garment is worn by licensed electricians, power lineworkers, and industrial maintenance technicians performing energized electrical work.
These bib overalls are sized for a 5X-Large fit with a waist range of 60 to 62 inches and a 33-inch inseam, accommodating larger-framed workers without sacrificing protective coverage. The blue Nomex construction resists acids, alcohols, mildew, oils, salts, and alkalies in addition to arc flash hazards, making it well suited for industrial plants, utility substations, and commercial electrical service environments where multiple chemical and electrical hazards may be present simultaneously.
Designed as an arc flash protective outer garment for use in NFPA 70E Category 2 hazard environments. Intended to be worn as part of a complete arc flash PPE system including appropriate face protection, gloves, and footwear per applicable safety standards.
Arc flash PPE must be selected, inspected, and donned by a qualified electrical worker in accordance with NFPA 70E and applicable site safety procedures before approaching energized equipment. Verify the garment arc rating meets or exceeds the incident energy level calculated for the specific work task. Inspect seams and closures for damage before each use. Launder and maintain per manufacturer guidance to preserve the arc rating and chemical resistance properties.
