The TINGLEY O44041.2X is a pair of arc flash-rated bib overalls constructed from Nomex with a 0.38mm PVC/Nomex composite shell. Rated at 14 cal/sq cm arc flash protection, these overalls are designed for electrical workers and utility technicians who require NFPA 70E-compliant PPE when working in environments with arc flash hazard. The Nomex shell weighs 10.5 oz per square yard and delivers acid resistance, oil resistance, and waterproof performance without relying on conductive materials. Therm-O-Rad sealed seams reinforce the protective barrier at every stitch line. The size 2XL cut accommodates a 48 to 50 inch waist with a 32-inch inseam.
These overalls are intended for use by licensed electricians, linemen, utility technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals working near exposed energized equipment. The bib-style cut provides full torso coverage during service and maintenance tasks. A plain front fly and button closure keep the front profile clean, while hook-and-loop ankle cuffs allow secure fitment over work boots. The blue Nomex construction satisfies common arc flash PPE program requirements for Category 1 or Category 2 hazard levels when combined with appropriate head, face, and hand protection per a site-specific arc flash hazard analysis.
Designed as an OEM-style arc flash bib overall for use in electrical utility, industrial maintenance, and commercial construction applications where arc flash PPE is required by a site hazard analysis.
Arc flash PPE must be selected based on a site-specific arc flash hazard analysis conducted by a qualified electrical engineer in accordance with NFPA 70E. Inspect the garment for damage, compromised seams, or contamination before each use. Garments exposed to arc flash events must be removed from service and evaluated before being worn again. Laundering and care must follow the manufacturer guidelines to preserve the arc-rated properties of the Nomex shell.
