The TINGLEY J44241.XL is an arc flash protection jacket constructed from 0.38mm PVC/Nomex fabric rated at 14 cal/sq cm. Designed for electrical workers and licensed electricians working in environments with arc flash hazard exposure, this jacket provides a barrier against thermal energy and flash burns. The Nomex base material weighs 10.5 oz and delivers flame resistance without sacrificing mobility. Therm-O-Rad sealed seams prevent moisture infiltration, and snap front closure with hook-and-loop wrist closures create a secure, adjusted fit at the cuff. It is sized for a 48 to 50 inch chest and carries a 34.50-inch sleeve length.
This jacket is suited for industrial, utility, and commercial electrical applications where NFPA 70E arc flash PPE requirements apply. It fits into an arc flash PPE ensemble for tasks involving exposed energized conductors or circuit parts. The blue Nomex construction is common in utility and electrical maintenance environments. Launder and maintain per the manufacturer garment care instructions to preserve the arc rating of the Nomex material. This jacket should be worn as part of a complete arc flash PPE ensemble selected by a qualified person based on an incident energy analysis or PPE category method.
