The TILLMAN 42XL is a full-fingered leather welding glove sized X-Large, designed for MIG and TIG welding as well as grinding applications. The glove is constructed with a grain leather palm, pigskin back, and a cowhide slip-on cuff that measures 4 inches in length for wrist and forearm protection. At 12.2 inches overall length, the 42XL provides coverage without restricting torch or wire-feed gun control. The glove is unlined for better heat sensitivity and dexterity during TIG work. A straight thumb design and thumb strap improve fit and reduce fatigue during extended use. Welders, fabricators, and metalworkers across residential, commercial, and industrial settings rely on this style of glove for everyday arc welding tasks.
The 42XL suits welders working with MIG wire-feed processes and TIG torch setups where tactile feedback matters. The unlined construction makes it a practical choice for TIG welding where feel at the fingertips is critical to bead quality. It also handles light grinding tasks. The slip-on cuff allows quick donning and doffing between passes. Fits men and women wearing X-Large, corresponding to a numeric size 11.
Designed as an OEM-style welding glove for use with MIG and TIG welding processes and light grinding applications in X-Large sizing.
Welding gloves are donned and inspected before each use by the welding technician or fabricator. Check the glove for cuts, holes, or worn areas before starting any arc welding or grinding task. Never use damaged gloves near live arc, hot metal, or grinding wheels. Follow applicable ANSI and AWS safety guidelines for personal protective equipment in welding environments.
