The TIGRE USA INC 36-683 is a 4-inch sewer drain 90-degree short turn elbow designed for directional changes in drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. This fitting redirects flow at a 90-degree angle using a short-radius sweep, making it well suited for tight spaces where a long-turn fitting will not fit. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of elbow during new construction and retrofit work on residential and light commercial drain lines. At 16.34 pounds per package of 16 units, the per-unit weight is approximately 1.02 pounds, keeping handling manageable on the job site.
This elbow is used in below-grade and above-grade sewer and drain piping where a 90-degree direction change is required. The short-turn geometry is appropriate for drain and waste applications where flow velocity allows a tighter bend radius. Typical installations include horizontal-to-vertical transitions and branch connections in bathroom, kitchen, and floor drain configurations. It is sold in packages of 16 units, which suits both stocking distributors and contractors running multiple rough-in installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 4-inch sewer drain and DWV piping systems.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local amendments. Shut off water supply and verify the line is depressurized and drained before beginning work. Solvent-weld or mechanical joining methods should follow the pipe and fitting manufacturer guidelines for the material involved. Short-turn elbows are generally not recommended for use on horizontal drain runs carrying solids unless the local code and system design explicitly permit it.
