The TIGRE USA INC 1436-251 is a reducing male adapter designed for poly insert fitting applications in cold water distribution systems. It connects 1-1/2 inch insert to a 2 inch male iron pipe (MIP) thread, allowing a transition between polyethylene pipe and threaded pipe connections. The fitting is manufactured from poly insert material and is secured to PE polyethylene pipe using stainless steel clamps. Licensed plumbers and irrigation contractors install this adapter in cold water service lines. It carries ASTM D-2609 listing and NSF 14 and 16 certification for potable water service.
This adapter is suited for cold water supply and distribution applications where polyethylene pipe connects to a threaded iron pipe fitting. It is intended for outdoor, agricultural, or utility installations and is not approved for use inside a dwelling. It must not be used with compressed air or gases. The reducing configuration accommodates a size step-up from 1-1/2 inch insert pipe to a 2 inch male iron pipe thread, making it useful in irrigation manifolds, rural water service, and similar utility piping layouts.
Designed for use with PE polyethylene pipe in cold water service applications. Not approved for use inside dwellings or with compressed air or gases. Fitting modifications void the manufacturer warranty.
