The TIGRE USA INC 1436-132 is a reducing male adapter designed for polyethylene (PE) pipe systems. It connects 1-1/4 inch insert to 1 inch male iron pipe (MIP) threads, reducing line size at a threaded transition point. The fitting is manufactured from poly insert material and is secured to PE pipe using stainless steel clamps. This adapter is rated for cold water service only and carries ASTM D-2609 listing along with NSF 14 and NSF 16 certifications for potable water applications. It is installed by licensed plumbers in agricultural irrigation, rural water supply, and similar cold water distribution systems.
This fitting is used in cold water polyethylene pipe installations where a reduction from 1-1/4 inch insert to a 1 inch MIP threaded connection is required. Typical applications include residential well systems, farm water lines, and outdoor irrigation distribution where PE pipe transitions to threaded pipe or valves. This fitting is not approved for use inside dwellings, and must not be used with compressed air or gases.
Designed for use with PE polyethylene pipe in cold water distribution systems. Compatible pipe must be secured with stainless steel clamps per standard poly insert fitting installation practice. Not approved for use inside dwellings or with compressed air or gases.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before cutting into any existing pipe or removing fittings. Stainless steel clamps are required to secure the insert end to PE pipe — do not use standard worm-gear hose clamps as a substitute for rated clamps. Fitting modifications of any kind void the manufacturer warranty.
