The TIGRE USA INC 1407-101 is a polyethylene insert-style reducing elbow designed to transition from a 3/4-inch PE polyethylene pipe to a 1/2-inch female pipe thread (FPT) connection. The fitting connects on the insert end by sliding into PE pipe and securing with stainless steel clamps. The female threaded end accepts a standard male pipe thread fitting. Rated for cold water service only, the 1407-101 carries ASTM D-2609 listing and meets NSF 14 and NSF 16 standards for potable water applications. Plumbers and irrigation technicians install this fitting in low-pressure, non-pressurized-gas polyethylene pipe systems.
This elbow is suited for residential and light agricultural cold water distribution systems using PE polyethylene pipe. Typical applications include underground irrigation laterals, rural water service lines, and well-supply runs where a directional change and thread-to-insert size reduction are needed in a single fitting. It is not approved for use with compressed air, gases, or inside dwelling units. This fitting is sold in a package quantity of 25 units per package.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch polyethylene (PE) pipe on the insert end and 1/2-inch female pipe thread connections on the threaded end. For cold water service in non-dwelling applications only. Fitting modifications void the manufacturer warranty.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified irrigation technicians. Shut off and depressurize the water supply line before beginning work. Secure the insert end into the PE pipe using appropriately sized stainless steel clamps torqued per clamp manufacturer guidelines. Do not use this fitting with compressed air, gases, or in any interior dwelling application, as the fitting is not listed for those services.
