The TIGRE USA INC 1407-015 is a 1-1/2 inch polyethylene insert elbow with a female pipe thread (FPT) outlet, configured insert x female for connecting PE polyethylene pipe runs to threaded pipe ends. This fitting is rated for cold water service only and carries NSF 14 and NSF 16 listings for potable water applications. It is secured to PE pipe using stainless steel clamps, providing a reliable mechanical connection without solvent cementing. Plumbers and irrigation contractors install this fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution systems where a directional change from flexible poly pipe to a threaded connection is required.
This elbow is intended for cold water piping applications using polyethylene pipe. It is not approved for use with compressed air or gases, and it is not listed for installation inside a dwelling. Typical applications include underground service laterals, irrigation mains, rural water supply lines, and agricultural water systems where PE pipe is the primary distribution material. The insert-style connection requires stainless steel clamps, which are not included and must be sourced separately. Installers should confirm pipe outside diameter compatibility before installation.
Designed for use with 1-1/2 inch polyethylene (PE) pipe in cold water service applications. Not approved for use inside a dwelling, with compressed air, or with gas lines. Fitting modifications void the manufacturer warranty.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified irrigation technicians following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Before beginning work, shut off the water supply and depressurize the line. Secure the insert end to PE pipe with properly rated stainless steel clamps, torqued per the clamp manufacturer instructions. Do not attempt to use this fitting on hot water lines, with compressed air, or with any gaseous media.
