The TIGRE 406-010 is a 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC 90-degree slip elbow fitting designed for pressure piping systems. Injection-molded from PVC, this elbow changes flow direction by 90 degrees and connects via slip (socket) ends, which accept solvent-cement joints. It carries a pressure rating of 450 psi at 73 degrees F, making it well-suited for cold-water pressure applications in residential and light commercial plumbing. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting where a right-angle direction change is required in a PVC pressure line.
This elbow is used in residential and commercial cold-water supply piping, irrigation systems, and general-purpose PVC pressure lines where Schedule 40 fittings are specified. The slip end style requires solvent cement and primer for a watertight, pressure-rated joint. Its white color is standard for Schedule 40 PVC pressure fittings and is consistent with typical domestic plumbing and irrigation installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC pressure piping systems using slip-joint solvent-cement connections.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before cutting into any existing piping. Clean and dry all mating surfaces, apply an approved PVC primer, then solvent cement before joining — follow the cement manufacturer's cure time before pressurizing the line. Do not use this fitting on hot-water lines or applications exceeding its rated temperature and pressure.
