The THOMAS BETTS UA7AE is a PVC conduit elbow designed for use with rigid conduit systems in non-hazardous locations. This fitting uses a glued connection method and features an angled connector shape, making it suited for direction changes in conduit runs. Constructed from polyvinylchloride, the UA7AE is insulated and rated for a 3/4 inch trade size. Electricians use this elbow when routing rigid PVC conduit through walls, ceilings, or underground raceways where a directional change is required and solvent-cement bonding is the specified connection method.
This elbow is intended for rigid PVC conduit installations in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. Its non-hazardous area rating makes it appropriate for standard electrical distribution and branch circuit wiring where rigid conduit is the raceway of choice. The glued connection ensures a secure, permanent bond when used with compatible PVC solvent cement, maintaining conduit integrity throughout the raceway system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 3/4 inch trade size rigid PVC conduit systems in non-hazardous locations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for rigid PVC conduit systems. Shut off all power to the circuit before working in or around any conduit raceway. Use an approved PVC conduit solvent cement and primer when making glued connections, and allow adequate cure time before pulling wire. Do not use this fitting in classified hazardous locations.
