The THOMAS BETTS TY551M is a natural-colored nylon identification cable tie designed for bundling and labeling wire harnesses, conduit runs, and other grouped conductors. At 3.6 inches in overall length and 0.09 inches wide, the TY551M accommodates bundles up to 5/8 inch in diameter and delivers an 18 lb tensile strength. The nylon construction provides weather resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Each tie features an identification tab area, allowing techs to write or apply labels directly to the tie without additional labeling hardware. Sold in packages of 100. This is a UL Recognized component.
The TY551M is used in commercial and residential electrical installations, HVAC control wiring, panel wiring, and general wire management tasks. Cable ties are installed by electricians and HVAC technicians as part of wire management during and after equipment installation. Do not over-cinch ties on insulated conductors, as excessive tension can deform insulation over time.
