The THOMAS BETTS TY537M is a mountable nylon cable tie designed for secure wire and cable bundling in electrical, control panel, and general industrial applications. Measuring 13.9 inches in overall length with a width of 0.300 inches and a thickness of 0.078 inches, this tie accommodates bundle diameters up to 3.5 inches. With a rated tensile strength of 120 pounds, the TY537M handles demanding bundling tasks where a reliable, fixed-mount attachment point is required. Each package contains 50 ties. The natural (clear) color is suitable for indoor installations where UV exposure is not a primary concern. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
The TY537M is suited for residential and commercial electrical panels, conduit runs, HVAC control wiring, and equipment cabinets where cables must be routed and secured to a panel or chassis surface. The mountable head design allows the tie to be fastened to a surface using a screw or push-mount anchor through the integral mounting hole, keeping bundles organized and stationary. The wide operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 185 degrees F makes it usable in both cold-storage and warm mechanical-room environments.
Designed as a general-purpose mountable cable tie compatible with standard screw-mount and push-mount panel anchors used in electrical enclosures, conduit trays, and HVAC equipment cabinets.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or qualified maintenance technicians. De-energize and lock out any panel or equipment before routing or securing cables. Use an appropriately sized screw or compatible push-mount anchor through the mounting hole to fix the tie head to the surface before cinching. Avoid over-tightening the tie on delicate conductors, as excessive tension can damage insulation; follow applicable NEC guidelines for cable bundling and support spacing.
