The THOMAS BETTS TV18-6F-XV is a standard fork terminal designed for reliable wire-to-stud connections in electrical wiring applications. This partially insulated, crimp-style terminal features a red vinyl insulation sleeve and a copper contact body with TiN (titanium nitride) plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. Rated at 600 volts, it accommodates a No. 6 stud size and measures 0.886 inches in overall length with a fork width of 0.252 inches. Electricians and panel wiring technicians install this terminal using a standard ratcheting crimp tool to terminate stranded or solid conductors to bus bars, lugs, or equipment studs.
This fork terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical panel wiring, control panel assembly, and equipment terminations wherever a secure, semi-permanent screw-type connection is needed. The partially insulated design leaves the fork barrel exposed for a clean crimp while providing insulation protection at the wire entry point. Sold in a package of 75, this terminal is well suited for production wiring environments or service technicians who regularly terminate control wiring and branch circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp fork terminal for use with No. 6 stud fasteners in standard electrical wiring and control panel termination applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a properly calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the wire gauge being terminated to ensure a secure, gas-tight crimp. Do not re-crimp a terminal that has already been crimped onto a conductor.
