The THOMAS BETTS TV18-10R-XV is a partially insulated circular ring terminal designed for secure crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 22 to 16 AWG. The terminal features a copper contact with a tin (TiN) plating for corrosion resistance and reliable electrical conductivity. A red vinyl insulation sleeve identifies the wire gauge range at a glance, following the industry-standard color coding used by electricians and panel builders. At 0.858 inches in overall length and 0.315 inches in ring width, the terminal is sized for a No. 10 stud. This part is sold in a package quantity of 75 and is RoHS compliant.
This ring terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, control panel wiring, HVAC low-voltage connections, and general wire termination where a secure, semi-insulated lug is required at a No. 10 mounting stud. Electricians, panel builders, and HVAC technicians commonly use crimp-style ring terminals when landing wires on terminal blocks, relays, and equipment chassis studs. The partial insulation covers the barrel while leaving the ring exposed for direct metal-to-metal contact at the fastener.
Designed as a standard crimp-style ring terminal for use with 22 to 16 AWG copper wire and No. 10 mounting studs in general electrical and control wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or trained technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for the wire gauge and terminal type to ensure a gas-tight crimp; never use pliers or an uncalibrated tool as a substitute. Inspect the completed crimp for insulation damage and confirm the ring seats flat against the stud before torquing the fastener.
