The THOMAS BETTS TV14-8LF-XV is a locking fork terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant wire terminations in electrical and control wiring applications. It uses a crimp connection method and accepts a No. 8 stud size. The terminal is partially insulated with blue vinyl insulation and features a copper contact with TiN (titanium nitride) plating for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. Rated at 600 volts, this terminal is well suited for panel wiring, control circuits, and equipment grounding tasks where a positive mechanical lock on the stud is required. Licensed electricians and panel technicians are the primary installers.
This locking fork terminal is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical applications wherever a standard spade terminal is insufficient due to vibration or accidental disconnection risk. The locking design keeps the terminal seated on the stud even under movement or shock loads. It is commonly installed in motor control centers, junction boxes, and electrical panels where wire management and connection integrity are priorities. Each package contains 75 terminals with a minimum order quantity of 1 package.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before terminating or removing any wiring. Use a calibrated ratchet crimp tool rated for the wire gauge being terminated to ensure a proper mechanical and electrical crimp. Do not over-strip wire insulation, as excess exposed conductor beyond the terminal barrel can create a shock or short-circuit hazard.
