The THOMAS BETTS TV10-10LF-XV is a locking fork terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant electrical connections in demanding wiring applications. This partially insulated crimp terminal features a yellow vinyl sleeve and a copper contact body with a titanium nitride (TiN) plating for enhanced corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. Rated at 600 volts, it accepts a No. 10 stud and measures 0.992 inches in overall length with a fork width of 0.354 inches and a contact thickness of 0.039 inches. Electricians and panel wiring technicians use this terminal where a standard spade terminal would be insufficient and a locking design is required to prevent accidental disconnection.
This terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring applications where a crimp-terminated, locking fork connection to a No. 10 stud is needed. The partial insulation leaves the contact area exposed for direct metal-to-metal contact at the stud while protecting the wire barrel. Typical install scenarios include control panels, motor terminations, and equipment wiring where terminals must remain secured under vibration or frequent service access. Each package contains 75 terminals, sold in a minimum order quantity of one package.
Designed as an OEM-style locking fork terminal for use with No. 10 stud fasteners in crimp-terminated electrical wiring assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or removing any wiring connections. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the wire gauge and terminal series to achieve a proper crimp — avoid over-crimping, which can damage the vinyl insulation and weaken the contact barrel. Confirm the locking tab fully engages the stud before re-energizing the circuit.
