The THOMAS BETTS TS906 is a two-hole pipe and conduit strap designed to secure 2-inch pipe or conduit to a surface in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical installations. Constructed from steel with a zinc-plated finish, this strap provides corrosion resistance in typical indoor and light commercial environments. Two mounting holes allow for fastener-based attachment to framing, concrete, or structural surfaces. The TS906 is a standard hardware item installed by electricians, plumbers, and HVAC mechanics wherever conduit or pipe runs require positive, fixed support.
This strap is used in residential and light commercial applications to support rigid conduit, EMT, or pipe runs along walls, ceilings, joists, and framing members. It is suited for use in electrical rough-in work, plumbing rough-in, and mechanical piping systems where a two-hole strap provides more secure support than a single-hole design. The two-hole configuration reduces rotation and lateral movement of the conduit or pipe, making it the preferred choice for longer horizontal runs and exposed installations.
Designed as an OEM-style strap fitting 2-inch nominal pipe or conduit. Also referenced under Minerallac part number 285 and Raco part number 2098.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or plumbers in accordance with NEC or IPC requirements for pipe and conduit support spacing. Power down or de-energize any conduit system before installing or repositioning straps on energized runs. Use fasteners appropriate to the mounting substrate — wood screws for framing, concrete anchors for masonry. Do not overtighten fasteners to the point of deforming the strap body, as this may compromise the conduit or pipe wall.
