The THOMAS BETTS TC5342A is a self-adhesive cable tie mounting base designed to anchor cable ties to flat surfaces without fasteners or drilling. Made from Nylon 6.6, this two-way tie entry base measures 1.125 inches by 1.125 inches and accepts cable ties up to 0.19 inches wide. It uses a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for quick, tool-free attachment. The TC5342A is sold in a standard pack of 100 and is rated for temperatures from -40 to 185 degrees F, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and panel wiring professionals use these bases to route and secure wire bundles cleanly and efficiently.
This mounting base is used in a wide range of wiring and cable management applications, including electrical panels, conduit routing, HVAC equipment wiring, and general mechanical enclosures. The two-way tie entry slot allows the cable tie to pass through from either direction, giving installers flexibility in how they orient and dress wire bundles. The adhesive backing eliminates the need for screws or anchors on smooth surfaces, speeding up installation in tight spaces or on finished panels. It is appropriate for both residential and commercial applications where a clean, permanent cable bundle anchor is needed.
Designed for use with standard cable ties fitting a 0.19-inch tie width slot. Suitable for cable tie management applications in electrical, HVAC, and mechanical installations on smooth, clean surfaces where adhesive mounting is appropriate.
Surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil or dust before applying the adhesive base for maximum bond strength. Electricians and HVAC technicians typically install these bases during panel wiring or equipment commissioning. Apply firm pressure to the base for several seconds after placement to fully seat the adhesive. Do not install in areas subject to prolonged moisture immersion or where surface temperatures will exceed the rated 185 degrees F limit.
