The THOMAS BETTS TC214SC is a straight, compression-style conduit connector designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT). Constructed from die cast zinc, this non-insulated connector provides a concrete-tight fit at the point where EMT terminates into a junction box, enclosure, or panel knockout. The compression connection method creates a secure, weatherproof-grade mechanical bond without the need for set screws. The 1-1/4 inch trade size accommodates standard 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit runs. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this fitting in both new construction and retrofit wiring applications.
The TC214SC is suited for residential and commercial electrical installations where EMT conduit must terminate at an enclosure or panel. Its concrete-tight rating makes it appropriate for use in exposed or embedded conduit runs where moisture ingress at the fitting is a concern. The straight connector profile supports direct, in-line termination to standard knockout openings. This fitting is commonly installed in branch circuit conduit runs, equipment feeders, and panel terminations where EMT is the specified raceway.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit terminations in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for EMT conduit systems. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before working inside any enclosure. Insert the EMT fully into the connector body before tightening the compression nut to ensure a proper concrete-tight seal. Verify the trade size of the conduit matches the connector before installation to prevent a loose or improper fit.
