The THOMAS BETTS TC211SC is a straight, compression-style conduit connector designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT). Made from die cast zinc, this non-insulated fitting provides a concrete-tight connection between EMT conduit and an enclosure knockout. It accepts 1/2 inch trade size conduit and fastens without threading, using compression pressure to create a secure, low-resistance mechanical bond. Electricians rely on this type of connector in standard raceway installations where conduit terminates at a panel, junction box, or device enclosure. The concrete-tight rating makes it suitable for damp or embedded applications.
This connector is used in commercial and residential electrical installations where EMT conduit is routed to enclosures, panels, or boxes. The 1/2 inch trade size is the most common EMT size in branch-circuit wiring. The compression design is preferred over set-screw styles in applications requiring a more secure mechanical fit, including installations near concrete forms or in exposed locations subject to vibration or moisture.

Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for EMT raceway systems. Power down the circuit and verify the enclosure is de-energized before terminating conduit at any panel or box. Slide the connector onto the EMT end and tighten the compression nut to secure the conduit before inserting the connector body through the knockout and fastening with the locknut. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as die cast zinc fittings can crack under excessive force.
