The THOMAS BETTS SR-101 is a neoprene sealing gasket designed for use with 1/2 inch flexible metal conduit (FMC) fittings. It creates a compression seal at conduit entry points, helping to maintain environmental protection and prevent moisture intrusion at the fitting junction. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this gasket as part of FMC fitting assemblies in both new construction and retrofit applications. At 0.04 pounds, it is a lightweight, single-piece component that seats easily during fitting installation without special tooling.
This sealing gasket is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where flexible metal conduit is routed to equipment, panels, or junction boxes. It is typically installed at conduit knockout entries to provide a snug, weather-resistant seal between the fitting and enclosure. Applications include motor connections, HVAC equipment wiring, and other installations requiring FMC terminations.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch flexible metal conduit fittings and assemblies as an OEM-style sealing accessory.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit fittings and enclosure entries. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before working at any panel, box, or equipment connection point. Seat the gasket fully against the fitting flange before tightening to ensure an even compression seal. Do not overtighten the fitting, as excessive force can deform the neoprene and compromise the seal.
