The THOMAS BETTS RBB25 is a nylon-insulated parallel splice connector rated for 600 volts and designed for use with 18 to 16 AWG copper conductors. The connector is constructed from electro tin plated copper and features a blue nylon insulating sleeve. In a parallel splice configuration, wires are laid side by side within the barrel and a single crimp completes the connection. This design reduces installation time and keeps the overall assembly compact. The barrel outer diameter measures 0.23 inches and the connector length is 0.84 inches. It carries UL and CSA approvals and is RoHS compliant. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this connector in control panel wiring, low-voltage circuits, and branch circuit splicing applications.
The RBB25 is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where a reliable, space-saving inline splice is required. Its parallel geometry makes it practical in tight enclosures or junction boxes where an in-line butt splice would be difficult to orient. The single-crimp installation method is compatible with standard insulated-terminal crimping tools, making it a fast choice for high-volume wiring tasks. This connector is sold in a standard package of 1000 pieces, which suits production wiring environments and service contractors who work through large quantities regularly.
Designed for use with 18 to 16 AWG copper conductors in standard insulated parallel splice applications. Compatible with standard insulated-terminal crimping tools used for nylon-insulated connectors.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any splice work. Use a calibrated crimping tool rated for insulated nylon parallel connectors to ensure a secure, gas-tight crimp. Do not attempt to solder over the crimp or use the connector with aluminum conductors unless explicitly rated for that application.
