The THOMAS BETTS RB14-250A is a fully insulated female wire disconnect designed for reliable push-on terminations in electrical wiring applications. The connector accepts 16-14 AWG conductors and features a 0.25 inch tab width for standard quick-disconnect mating. The blue nylon insulation sleeve provides full coverage of the barrel and tab entry, reducing the risk of accidental contact with energized conductors. This disconnect is rated to UL 94 V-2 flame resistance standards and carries UL Listed status under File E66716, as well as CSA Certification and RoHS compliance. Electricians and HVAC technicians use these terminals when terminating control wiring, panel wiring, and low-voltage circuit connections that require a removable or serviceable connection point.
This disconnect is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work where quick-disconnect terminations are needed on 16-14 AWG wire runs. Typical applications include control panel wiring, appliance harnesses, HVAC equipment terminations, and general electrical panel or device connections. The 0.25 inch female tab accepts standard 0.25 inch male spade or blade terminals. The blue color coding assists with wire gauge identification during installation and future service work. Package quantity is 50 pieces per unit, with a minimum order quantity of 1 package.
Designed for use with 16-14 AWG wire and any standard 0.25 inch male spade or blade terminal. Suitable for general electrical, HVAC control wiring, and appliance termination applications requiring a fully insulated female quick-disconnect connector.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC technicians following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit completely before terminating or disconnecting any conductor. Use a properly calibrated ratcheting crimping tool rated for insulated disconnect terminals to ensure a secure, gas-tight crimp on the conductor barrel. Do not attempt to solder these terminals or apply heat that may compromise the nylon insulation integrity.
