The THOMAS BETTS RB14-14 is a partially insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 18 to 14 AWG. The terminal body is copper with a TiN (tin) contact plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. A blue nylon insulation sleeve provides partial wire protection and serves as a visual indicator for the compatible wire gauge range. Overall dimensions are 1.08 inches in length and 0.47 inches in width. The 1/4-inch stud size fits standard threaded fasteners common in electrical panel and equipment termination work. This terminal is installed by licensed electricians and experienced electrical trades.
The RB14-14 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical termination applications where a secure, ring-style lug connection is required at a threaded stud or screw. Typical use cases include control panel wiring, equipment grounding, and branch circuit terminations where 18 to 14 AWG conductors must be landed to a fixed stud. The blue color coding allows technicians to quickly identify the correct terminal for the wire gauge on the bench or in the field. Each package contains 100 terminals, supporting volume termination work on larger jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp ring terminal for use with 18 to 14 AWG copper conductors on 1/4-inch threaded studs in residential and commercial electrical termination applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before terminating or removing any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the wire gauge and terminal series to achieve a proper crimp. Do not over-strip the conductor insulation beyond the terminal barrel length, and inspect each crimped terminal for barrel deformation or exposed conductor before energizing.
