The THOMAS BETTS LTC125-TB is a Type B LTFNMC extra-flexible, smooth-style liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit rated for demanding industrial and hazardous location installations. Manufactured from PVC in black, it carries a 1-1/4 inch trade size with an inner diameter of 1.38 to 1.41 inches and an outer diameter of 1.63 to 1.66 inches. The conduit ships in 100-foot lengths and is rated for temperatures from -18 to 105 degrees C. Its smooth inner bore allows easy wire pulling, and the smooth outer jacket is both sunlight resistant and oil resistant. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers for this product.
This conduit is suited for a wide range of industrial environments where moisture sealing and mechanical flexibility are required. Typical applications include machine tool wiring, motor hookups, food processing equipment, extensions from wire ways, direct burial runs, and sensor and micro switch wiring found in control consoles. The conduit is also listed for use in hazardous locations per applicable NEC standards, making it appropriate for Class I and Class II division installations. Its extra-flexible construction allows routing in tight or cramped spaces without compromising the liquidtight seal.
Designed for use as Type B LTFNMC liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit in industrial, direct burial, food processing, machine tool, hazardous location, and motor hookup applications where NEC 501-4(B), 502-4(A), 502-4(B), 503-3(A), and 503-3(B) compliance is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. Always de-energize the circuit and lock out the power source before connecting or terminating conduit runs. Use liquidtight fittings rated for Type B LTFNMC conduit to maintain the liquidtight and hazardous-location listing integrity. Avoid sharp bend radii that exceed the conduit's rated flex capability, as this can damage the jacket and compromise the seal.
