The THOMAS BETTS LT43J is a straight, threaded liquid-tight conduit connector designed for use with thermoplastic liquid-tight flexible conduit. It provides a secure, insulated connection between flexible conduit and an electrical enclosure, junction box, or panel knockout. The connector uses a threaded engagement method for a reliable mechanical and environmental seal. At a 2-inch trade size, it suits larger branch circuit or feeder runs where liquid-tight flexible conduit is required. Electricians use this fitting in commercial and industrial installations where moisture exposure, vibration, or equipment movement makes rigid conduit impractical.
This connector is suited for non-hazardous, water-resistant applications where thermoplastic liquid-tight flexible conduit terminates at electrical equipment enclosures. Typical install scenarios include HVAC equipment connections, pump motors, compressors, and other mechanical equipment subject to vibration or requiring flexible termination. The insulated design protects conductors at the fitting entry point. It is not rated for hazardous locations and should be selected only for standard non-hazardous environments.
Designed for use with 2-inch trade size thermoplastic liquid-tight flexible conduit in non-hazardous, water-resistant installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for liquid-tight flexible conduit fittings. De-energize the circuit and verify lockout/tagout procedures before beginning termination work. Hand-tighten the fitting onto the conduit and into the enclosure knockout, then snug with appropriate pliers or a strap wrench — do not over-torque thermoplastic fittings. Verify the conduit jacket is seated fully into the connector body before final tightening to maintain the water-resistant seal.
