The THOMAS BETTS LT43H is a straight, insulated conduit connector designed for use with liquid-tight flexible conduit. It features a threaded connection and is constructed from thermoplastic, making it suitable for non-hazardous, water-resistant installations. The LT43H fits a 1-1/2 inch trade size conduit and is sold as a single unit. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting to terminate liquid-tight flexible conduit at enclosures, junction boxes, and equipment. The insulated throat protects conductor insulation from abrasion at the point of entry.
This connector is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where liquid-tight flexible conduit is required to maintain a water-resistant seal at the connection point. Typical applications include machinery wiring, HVAC equipment connections, and other locations where vibration or moisture exposure makes rigid conduit impractical. It is rated for non-hazardous areas and provides a water-resistant fit when properly installed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-1/2 inch trade size liquid-tight flexible thermoplastic conduit in non-hazardous, water-resistant electrical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for liquid-tight flexible conduit fittings. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning conduit termination. Hand-tighten the connector into the knockout entry, then secure with the appropriate locknut; avoid over-tightening, which can crack the thermoplastic body. Verify the conduit seating and insulated throat alignment before closing the enclosure.
