The THOMAS BETTS LT43D-NEW is a straight, insulated conduit connector designed for use with liquid-tight flexible thermoplastic conduit (LFTC) at a 1/2 inch trade size. It features a threaded connection that secures the conduit to an enclosure, junction box, or panel knockout, maintaining a water-resistant seal at the termination point. The thermoplastic body is rated for non-hazardous, water-resistant applications, making it a reliable choice for damp or wet location wiring where a secure, insulated fitting is required. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of standard branch circuit and equipment wiring work.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where liquid-tight flexible conduit terminates at motor control enclosures, HVAC equipment, panels, or junction boxes. Its straight profile fits standard knockout terminations, and the insulated throat protects conductor insulation at the conduit entry point. The 1/2 inch trade size accommodates typical branch circuit and control wiring runs in damp or outdoor-exposed equipment locations where liquid-tight conduit is specified per NEC requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for use with 1/2 inch trade size liquid-tight flexible thermoplastic conduit (LFTC) in non-hazardous, water-resistant installation environments.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC articles governing liquid-tight flexible conduit and fittings. De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before working at the enclosure or panel. Hand-tighten the connector into the knockout and secure with the locknut; avoid over-torquing the thermoplastic body. Verify the conduit is fully seated and the seal is intact before restoring power.
