The THOMAS BETTS L125P is a non-insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for secure lug-style electrical connections in commercial and industrial wiring applications. Built with a copper contact and a titanium nitride (TiN) plating, this terminal delivers reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance at the connection point. It accepts wire sizes from 8 AWG through 1/0 AWG, making it suitable for a range of medium to heavy-duty circuit terminations. The overall length is 1.5 inches with a ring width of 47/64 inches and a stud size of 3/8 inches, fitting standard lug mounting configurations. Licensed electricians and maintenance technicians install this terminal where a bare, robust lug connection is required.
The L125P is used in residential service entrances, commercial panel work, and industrial control wiring where uninsulated copper lug terminals are specified. Its D-shaped ring profile seats flush against mounting studs and bus bars, resisting rotation during torquing. The 3/8-inch stud size is common in switchgear, motor control centers, and heavy-gauge feeder termination points. This terminal is appropriate for both new installation and retrofit service work where the wire range of 8 to 1/0 AWG is present.
Designed as an OEM-style lug ring terminal for use with 8 AWG through 1/0 AWG conductors and 3/8-inch mounting studs in standard electrical panel and switchgear applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lockout the circuit before terminating or removing any lug connections. Use a calibrated crimping tool rated for the wire size being terminated to ensure a secure, low-resistance crimp. Do not over-torque the stud fastener beyond the equipment manufacturer's specified value for 3/8-inch hardware.
