The THOMAS BETTS L-7-50-0-C is a standard nylon cable tie designed for bundling, routing, and securing wire harnesses and cable runs in electrical, HVAC, and general trade applications. Measuring 7.5 inches in overall length with a 50 lb tensile strength, this tie delivers reliable hold on bundles up to 1.75 inches in diameter. Constructed from black nylon with UV-resistant and weather-resistant properties, it is suited for both indoor and outdoor installations where long-term exposure is a concern. Each package contains 100 ties. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers.
This cable tie is used in residential and light commercial settings wherever wire management is required. Common applications include bundling low-voltage control wiring, securing conduit runs, organizing panel wiring, and fastening HVAC control harnesses. The black nylon construction and UV resistance make it appropriate for rooftop equipment, outdoor conduit, and exposed equipment enclosures in addition to standard interior use. The 7.5-inch length and 1.75-inch maximum bundle diameter cover a broad range of typical field bundling tasks.
Designed as a standard one-piece self-locking cable tie for general wire management and bundling applications across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trades.
Installation does not require special tools, though a cable tie tensioning and cut-off tool is recommended for consistent cinch force and flush tail trimming. Power down or de-energize any circuits before securing ties around live wiring in panel or junction box environments. Do not exceed the rated tensile strength or maximum bundle diameter when applying in high-vibration or load-bearing scenarios. Follow applicable NEC guidelines when routing and bundling conductors.
