The THOMAS BETTS L-5-30MH-9-C is a standard nylon cable tie designed for bundling, routing, and securing wire harnesses and cable runs in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general trade applications. Measuring 5.6 inches in overall length with a width of 0.13 inches, this tie delivers a 30 lb tensile strength suitable for light to medium-duty bundling tasks. Constructed from natural-colored nylon, the L-5-30MH-9-C handles operating temperatures up to 185 degrees F, making it appropriate for use in conduit work, panel wiring, equipment service, and mechanical room installations. Each package contains 100 ties.
This cable tie is suited for residential and light commercial electrical and mechanical work. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers use standard cable ties to dress wire harnesses, secure low-voltage control wiring, and organize tubing bundles during installation and service calls. The 1-1/4 inch maximum bundle diameter accommodates typical small-to-medium wire groupings found in control panels, air handlers, and equipment enclosures.
Designed as a standard one-piece nylon cable tie for general electrical, HVAC, and mechanical trade applications requiring a 5.6 inch tie with up to 1-1/4 inch bundle capacity.
Installation does not require energized-circuit access, but always de-energize and lock out equipment before dressing wiring inside panels or enclosures per NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Use a cable tie tensioning tool for consistent pull force and flush cuts on high-volume installations. Do not exceed the rated tensile strength or bundle diameter, and avoid routing ties near sharp edges that could nick the nylon and reduce holding strength.
