The THOMAS BETTS L-4-18-0-C is a standard nylon cable tie designed for bundling and securing wire and cable runs in electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical installations. At 4 inches in overall length with an 18-pound tensile strength, this tie handles light-duty bundling tasks reliably. The nylon construction is both UV-resistant and weather-resistant, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Each tie measures 0.100 inches wide and 0.045 inches thick, with a maximum bundle diameter of 5/8 inch. Rated to a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F, these ties hold up in warm environments near control panels, conduit runs, and equipment enclosures. Sold in a package quantity of 100.
These cable ties are used across residential and light commercial electrical, HVAC, and plumbing installations wherever wire management or hose bundling is needed. Electricians and HVAC technicians commonly deploy them during panel wiring, low-voltage control wiring, and equipment startup to dress and secure wire bundles. The UV and weather resistance makes them a practical choice for outdoor conduit work, rooftop units, and exposed exterior runs where standard cable ties would degrade prematurely.
Designed as a standard-duty replacement or stock cable tie for use in electrical, HVAC, low-voltage, and general mechanical bundling applications requiring a 4-inch, 18-pound-rated nylon tie.
Installation requires no tools beyond standard cable tie tensioning pliers, though hand installation is common. Power down or de-energize any circuit before dressing wire bundles in live panels or control enclosures. Trim flush after cinching to avoid sharp tail ends that can cause injury. Follow NEC bundling and fill requirements when securing conductors inside enclosures or conduit.
