The THOMAS BETTS JAB12H is a single-nut rod clamp designed to secure grounding conductors to threaded rods in electrical bonding and grounding applications. Constructed from copper alloy, it offers reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance in both indoor and outdoor installations. The clamp accepts solid wire from 2 AWG to 10 AWG and is compatible with 1/2-inch diameter threaded rod. At 2-3/32 inches overall length and 0.12 pounds, it is compact and easy to handle during installation. The JAB12H carries UL Listing and CSA Certification and is RoHS compliant, meeting the standards required for commercial and industrial electrical work.
This clamp is suited for use in grounding electrode systems, equipment bonding, and structural grounding where a threaded rod serves as the grounding electrode or bonding point. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects where NEC-compliant grounding assemblies are required. It is appropriate for use with solid copper conductors within the specified AWG range.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch threaded grounding rods and solid copper conductors ranging from 2 AWG to 10 AWG in NEC-compliant grounding and bonding assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and verify zero voltage before working on any grounding or bonding connection. Ensure the threaded rod is clean and free of debris before seating the clamp. Do not use with stranded conductors unless confirmed compatible with the wire size range specified.
