This heat shrink sleeve is suited for residential and commercial electrical applications including wire splices, terminal protection, cable bundling, and connector insulation. Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink sleeve for use on 2/0 AWG and larger conductors in general electrical wiring applications where a 3:1 shrink ratio and polyolefin construction are specified.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying the sleeve over any conductor or termination. Use a heat gun set to the appropriate temperature range rather than an open flame to achieve uniform shrinkage and avoid damage to the tubing or adjacent insulation. Ensure the conductor and termination surfaces are clean and dry before positioning the sleeve.
