The Thomas Betts H100CAP is a round-type cap off fitting designed to seal the end of 1-inch trade size IMC and rigid metal conduit installations. Constructed from zinc with a 2-inch diameter body, this cap off includes a thermoplastic insulating throat and a Nitrile (Buna-N) sealing ring that provides a weathertight closure. The NEMA 3R/4/13 rating qualifies it for use in wet, dusty, and oil-resistant enclosure environments. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during conduit rough-in or when sealing unused conduit terminations in commercial and industrial panels, junction boxes, and service entrances.
This cap off is used on IMC and rigid conduit systems in both commercial and residential electrical installations. It is suited for applications where a conduit end must be sealed against moisture, dust, and contaminant ingress, meeting NEMA 3R, 4, and 13 environmental ratings. The integrated insulating throat protects conductors at the conduit opening, and the Nitrile sealing ring ensures a secure, gasketed fit against the conduit end. It is sold and packaged individually.
Designed for use with 1-inch trade size IMC and rigid metal conduit systems. Suitable for conduit termination and sealing applications where NEMA 3R, 4, or 13 environmental protection is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit sealing and termination. De-energize all circuits and verify the conduit is free of conductors under tension before installing the cap off. Thread the fitting onto the prepared conduit end, ensuring the sealing ring seats fully against the conduit face for proper environmental protection. Do not overtighten or use pipe wrenches directly on the zinc body without appropriate protection, as this may crack or deform the fitting.
