The THOMAS BETTS H075A is a 3/4-inch trade size bulkhead-type conduit hub designed to connect threaded metal rigid conduit or IMC to a threadless opening in a metallic box or enclosure. The hub body and locknut are copper-free aluminum, and the sealing ring is nitrile, making this fitting suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations exposed to continuous or intermittent moisture. A thermoplastic insulated throat protects conductor insulation from abrasion and reduces wire pull effort. The tapered female threaded design and captivated locknut ensure a secure, watertight, and dusttight assembly rated for use in hazardous locations. Licensed electricians performing conduit terminations in industrial and commercial environments are the primary installers of this fitting.
The H075A is rated for NEMA 3R, 4, and 13 enclosures, covering raintight, watertight, and dusttight requirements. It is listed for use in hazardous locations and carries UL and CSA approvals. The extended-reach locknut design allows clamping on thin panels up to 3/16 inch thick. The recessed and captivated nitrile sealing ring compresses against the enclosure wall to form a reliable environmental seal without requiring a separate gasket. Typical applications include service entrance equipment, motor control centers, junction boxes, and industrial enclosures where conduit enters through a knockout-free or punched opening.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch trade size rigid metal conduit and IMC terminating at a threadless opening in NEMA 3R, 4, or 13 rated boxes and enclosures.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out the enclosure before beginning conduit termination work. Thread the conduit fully into the hub before tightening the locknut to the enclosure wall; do not allow the conduit to bottom out against the hub throat. Verify the sealing ring is seated flush against the enclosure surface and that the locknut bonding screw is tightened to establish the required ground bond.
