The THOMAS BETTS F4-10 is a non-insulated circular ring terminal designed for secure crimp connections on 4 AWG copper conductors. The terminal features a copper contact body with titanium nitride (TiN) plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. At 1.16 inches long and 0.48 inches wide, it fits a No. 10 stud and is sized for applications where a clean, low-profile lug termination is required. Licensed electricians and panel technicians install this terminal type when terminating battery cables, grounding conductors, and power feeds in electrical panels, motor control centers, and industrial enclosures.
The F4-10 is suited for both commercial and industrial electrical work where 4 AWG wire must be terminated to a No. 10 stud. Common install scenarios include grounding connections, bus bar terminations, and power distribution lug points. Its non-insulated design is standard practice when terminals will be installed inside an already-protected enclosure or where a heat-shrink or tape overwrap is applied separately by the technician. The yellow color coding assists with quick visual identification of the correct wire gauge range during assembly and inspection.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for the applicable circuit type and enclosure rating. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for 4 AWG non-insulated terminals to achieve a proper mechanical crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools as an improper crimp can result in a high-resistance joint or pull-out failure. Inspect the finished crimp for deformation, cold joints, or wire strand damage before energizing.
