The THOMAS BETTS D8-10 is a non-insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp termination of 8 AWG copper conductors. It provides a secure, low-resistance connection at a number 10 stud and is built with a copper contact plated with TiN (titanium nitride) for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. At 1.09 inches long and 0.42 inches wide, this compact terminal suits tight panel spaces and enclosures. Electricians and industrial maintenance technicians use this terminal to terminate wire runs to bus bars, grounding lugs, and equipment terminals. It meets UL 486A, UL 486B, and CSA 22.2 standards and carries a UL Listed rating, making it appropriate for code-compliant electrical installations.
This ring terminal is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work wherever a permanent, vibration-resistant crimp lug is required at a number 10 stud. Common applications include control panels, motor terminations, grounding connections, and power distribution assemblies. The non-insulated design is preferred when terminals will be installed inside an insulated connector housing or where a separate sleeve is applied after crimping. It is sold in packages of 25 units.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp ring terminal for 8 AWG conductors terminating at a number 10 stud in standard electrical panel, grounding, and equipment wiring applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician following NEC requirements for wire terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before installing or removing terminals. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for 8 AWG non-insulated terminals to achieve a proper gas-tight crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tooling. Inspect the crimped barrel for deformation or conductor pullout before energizing the circuit.
