The THOMAS BETTS CC-NPT-34-G is a straight-type cable gland with a 3/4 inch NPT thread, constructed from Nylon 6 in a gray finish. It accepts cable outer diameters ranging from 0.512 to 0.709 inches and provides a NEMA 4 and IP68-rated enclosure seal. The non-metallic Nylon 6 body delivers corrosion, chemical, and impact resistance without the weight or conductivity concerns of metal fittings. The gland uses a sturdy sealing mechanism that creates superior strain relief on the cable jacket, keeping the seal intact under vibration and pull load. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This cable gland is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where conduit entry protection and environmental sealing are required. The compact straight-type profile makes it practical in junction boxes, enclosures, and panels where space around the entry point is limited. Its NEMA 4 and IP68 ratings make it appropriate for wet or washdown environments. The operating temperature range of -30 to 80 degrees C supports both cold-climate and moderate-heat applications.
Designed as a straight-type NPT cable gland for use with standard 3/4 inch NPT knockout openings in electrical enclosures and junction boxes requiring NEMA 4 or IP68-rated cable entry sealing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the enclosure and verify the absence of voltage before beginning work. Thread the gland into the 3/4 inch NPT knockout opening and tighten to achieve a proper environmental seal without over-stressing the Nylon body. Confirm the cable jacket is fully captured by the sealing mechanism before closing the enclosure.
