The THOMAS BETTS C26M is a non-insulated, rectangular-type ring terminal designed for reliable electrical terminations in professional wiring applications. Manufactured from electrolytic copper with a tin-plated finish, it delivers high conductivity and corrosion resistance at a 600-volt rating. The C26M accepts conductors from 12 AWG minimum to 10 AWG maximum and fits a No. 10 stud. Its serrated barrel increases grip on the wire strand, reducing pull-out force. Electricians and panel-wiring technicians use this terminal where a clean, uninsulated crimp connection is required on control wiring, panel boards, and general electrical assemblies.
The C26M is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, industrial control panels, and equipment wiring where non-insulated terminals are specified. The rectangular barrel style is a standard configuration for butt-entry crimping. Installation is compatible with single-indentor and double-indentor crimping tools, making it adaptable to common hand, ratchet, and bench-mount crimpers already in the field. UL and CSA approvals make the terminal appropriate for use in code-compliant installations across the United States and Canada.
Designed as a standard non-insulated ring terminal for use with 12-10 AWG conductors and No. 10 stud fasteners in general electrical panel and equipment wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated crimping tool rated for the terminal barrel style — do not substitute soldering for crimping on this terminal type. Inspect the completed crimp for full barrel compression and verify conductor seating before re-energizing the circuit.
